It is one command so you should type it on single line like this
Code:
gconftool-2 --set /apps/osso/osso_media_server/demux_audio/application_x-icy --type list --list-type string '[application/x-icy,icydemux]'

Hi,

I managed to find the solution for OS2007 Hacker edition problem with maemo mapper(GPS problem).
There are to possible reasons for this problem
  • Binary is compiled against N800, which possible has additional CPU instructions, or possible changed format of the existing instructions.
  • Or, the problem is related to kernel which is old version (from 2006), and the application( built against 2007) simple fails because of some function call incompatibilities.
  • Any other reason

In any case, here are the instructions.
  1. Uninstall existing maemo mapper
  2. Start xterm
  3. sudo gainroot
  4. apt-get install libsqlite3-0
  5. (you need to answer with 'y')
  6. next, download latest maemo mapper for OS 2006 (no error 2006!) from garage repository
  7. dpkg -i maemo-mapper_1.4.7-2_amrel.deb

If you followed instructions you've got the working maemo mapper on hacker edition mk2.

Please, be advised that wherever you install the newer version of the maemo mapper, you might need to repeat the procedure.

Cheers,

Momcilo

I tried your instructions, but I got the following error:

Package libxau0 in not installed.

Any ideas?

Edit: apparently all I needed was to add this repository:

http://repository.maemo.org/ bora free

Of course when I go to download a bunch of maps at once or goto an address it crashes...

Hi, I just installed OS 2007 "hacker edition" on my 770, and lxdoom won't run, the error at the command line is "Cannot init libshadow!"

Hope I'm posting this in the right place :|

Poulsone replied to your question, did it fix things?

I also had trouble with the "libosso-help0 >=2.0.8 is needed" error message. Just fixed it with the help from Poulsone's answer to you.

Here's how I did it:

I had this problem too. If I remember correctly, I solved it by adding a bunch of repositories. I'm not sure which one provided the needed package. My /etc/apt/sources.list is:

#maemo:name Maemo.org
deb http://repository.maemo.org bora free non-free extras
.
This is the repository that is needed to get libosso-help0 onto the N800.

It can be added by, on the desktop, going to "Application Manager", hitting the hard-key menu button, then "Tools", the "Application Catalogue...", then "New", then enter the following information:

Catalogue name: Maemo.org
Web address: http://repository.maemo.org
Distribution: bora
Components: free non-free extras
and leave Disabled Unchecked.

Then "OK"

After going through those steps I was able to get MaemoMapper to upgrade without the "libosso-help0" error message.
