That's odd - it works perfectly well for me.

Anyway, here's the info from there:

Edit /var/lib/dpkg/info/account-plugin-salut.postinst and comment out (add a # to the start of the line) this line
    Code:
    /etc/init.d/avahi-daemon start
    Code:
    # /etc/init.d/avahi-daemon start

Try running "dpkg --clear-avail", then "apt-get update".

hi all. i didn't want to start new thread for my problem, so im asking here. so, i tried to install stargus and i have the orig. CD but i copied its content in wrong place (n900/starcraft) instead of (n900/mydocs/starcraft) and the installation failed. now, when i go to faster application manager and try to install stargust i get the error message wich says: none of the packages can be installed. i think it is installed but corrupted and when i go to remove applications tab, i cant see stargus but it is in my phone menu. i also tried removing it with xterminal but it asks password and i don't remember setting any passwords. is this some global masterpassword for stopping noobs(like me ) doing stupid things with xterminal?

    Hi,
I'm stuck with installing/update my application. The log from FAM looks like this:
    Code:
    --- 2011-04-18 12:54:09 ---
    /usr/bin/apt-get -qsy --allow-unauthenticated -o Dir::Etc::sourcelist=/opt/fapman-cache/sources.list -o Dir::State::lists=/opt/fapman-cache/lists -o Dir::Etc::sourceparts="" --auto-remove install cal-home-widget
    --- 2011-04-18 12:54:14 ---
    Output from last process:
    ---
    Reading package lists...
    Building dependency tree...
    Reading state information...
You might want to run `apt-get -f install' to correct these:
The following packages have unmet dependencies:
qgvdial: Depends: libmosquitto (>= 0.9.3) but it is not going to be installed
E: Unmet dependencies. Try 'apt-get -f install' with no packages (or specify a solution).
So I did `apt-get -f install' as root, and this is the output:

    Code:
    root:~# apt-get -f install
    Reading package lists... Done
    Building dependency tree
    Reading state information... Done
The following extra packages will be installed:
      qgvdial
The following packages will be upgraded:
      qgvdial
1 upgraded, 0 newly installed, 0 to remove and 52 not upgraded.
2 not fully installed or removed.
Need to get 0B/369kB of archives.
After this operation, 930kB of additional disk space will be used.
Do you want to continue [Y/n]? Y

chmod: /opt/qgvdial/bin/qgv-tp: No such file or directory
chmod: /opt/qgvdial/bin/qgv-util: No such file or directory
    /usr/bin/run-standalone.sh: line 11: /opt/qgvdial/bin/qgv-util: not found
    dpkg: error while cleaning up:
subprocess post-installation script returned error exit status 127
    Errors were encountered while processing:
     /var/cache/apt/archives/qgvdial_0.2.502-1_armel.deb
    E: Sub-process /usr/bin/dpkg returned an error code (1)
Anyone can help me with this? Now I can't use FAM or built-in App Manager to update/install.
    Thanks!

That's very odd - looks like the application files have been deleted even though it's not been uninstalled (have you deleted things manually, had corruption on the /home filesystem, or anything like that?). I'd suggest doing:
    Code:
    sudo gainroot
    mv /var/lib/dpkg/info/qgvdial.prerm /root
    apt-get -f install
If that works, you can remove the /root/qgvdial.prerm file, otherwise move it back to /var/lib/dpkg/info.
