My wife has a N7373. (OS Nokia s40) I connected it to my computer via usb cable to transfer music from my pc to her memory card. I connected it in storage mode (i think this was my first mistake) I did it this way because i am so use to using mass storage mode when connecting with my n900 to the pc Although, in the past I have always transferred music to her phone (Nokia 7373) by using Nokia pc suite.
I simply highlighted the folder Cleaning playlist (which contained all of the music to be transferred) and dragged it to the memory card icon represented by windows xp for her memory card.
After doing this the memory card became corrupted some how. The folder cleaning playlist displayed on her phone as having a array of folders and files with weird file names. these file names had all kinda weird characters, some of which i have never seen on my keyboard. In addition the properties stated outrageous file sizes ie: hundreds of GB's worth of data. I knwo this is ipossible cause the memory card is only 2 GB
Now... needless to say her music player does not recognize nor will it play any of the music that was supposed to be in the Cleaning playlist. I can not delete the folder (Cleaning playlist) with her phone (nokia 7373). I can not delete that folder (Cleaning playlist) from her memory card with my pc. I can not delete that folder on her memory card with my n900.
Each time i tried i get errors about it being read only and can not delet from source file.
so finally... I am assuming that maybe i can delete it in x terminal so it's not taking up extra precious data space on her 2 GB memory card. My problem is i do not know how. I don't know how to specify the path name for it. I googled a bit for the pathnames and came up with mmc1, Media/music (thats what the n900 has it as and a host of others.
Does anyone know how to find this folder in xterminal, delete it, and restore her memory card back to a usable state? i don't mind deleting everything on the memory card as it is all backed up on my pc, my external hard drive, and my n900 internal memory. any help is greatly appreciated
