Does somebody know how to open .doc and .docx?

I think you'll find that is what 'Docs to Go' is for. As far as I know it's a paid for app though

Or OpenOffice through EasyDebian. But WordToGo is the fastest and least memory intensive app if your just looking to read word documents. If you want to edit you will need abiword or openoffice.

There's also KOffice but I don't know much about it.

I buy DocsToGo without trying and now I have many .xls and .xlsx documents, which DocsToGo cannot open. I try to solve this with DocsToGo support, but sorce of this documents is not MS Office, so they don't have solution for me.
KOffice port for N900 opens these documents without problems.

OpenOffice is working which can open almost any format ... or abiword is good....

i have stored my files in documents forlder which is in /n900/documents when i use file manager but when i try to open the files in opne office i cant seem to find the files. the directories that are shown in open office are home/user/MyDocs but there is no directory named documents.
plz help

Our DtG has outdated engine being compared to iPhone version :-/
I was surprised to know it is not even anywhere close to "real thing" :-E

The /N900/Documents folder is actually /home/user/MyDocs/.documents, so will be hidden by default.
