But Pandora is basically the N900 without the phone and with a few extra bells and whistles. The improved battery sure helps, the keyboard and pads are useful, but its still another device to carry and still too low a vertical resolution to emulate the Amiga perfectly
Right now if I was thinking a separate device I am more interested in the Nintendo 3DS, even though that probably wont have the cool home-brew community behind it (at least not until/unless they hack the firmware). Even then, the 3DS is sounding like it would be poor for emulation anyway as its likely its CPU is several generations behind (to keep it cheap to manufacture), at best an ARM11 at worst still ARM9. The PSP can't even emulate the Amiga worth a damn, Pandora/N900 are literally the first time anything hand-held was fast enough. That said, the PSP is a very poor design and hurts my hands to play on, so that sure doesn't help.
To be fair, I do not spend enough time out of the house to warrant a hand-held anyway. But even when I do, its a pain carrying more than just my N900 with me, so I'm unlikely to carry something like the Pandora or even 3DS with me just "on the offchance I have time to play it". I already own the original DS and a PSP but do not use them, although I can see myself using the 3DS when lounging in a chair at home as I did the original DS at first but got annoyed at how dull its screens are.
With a phone though, you don't have that issue as you have it with you anyway. Although there is the battery life problem as when I do go out with my N900 just surfing and listening to music results in my battery critically low well before I get home.
So still we are waiting on the perfect unified device. I don't expect full desktop/laptop grade computing from it, about what the N900 delivers but with more RAM and more buttons and a D-Pad.
[EDIT] Although looking at the Pandora again, I can SO see myself playing Fur Fighters on the Dreamcast emulator on that thing. But that's just it, I want commercial games even if not current, my favourite classics. The N900 would be useless even if the Dreamcast emulator gets ported, it doesn't have the controls.

I did play miggy games on my E71 - quite well, actually even though the screen was small.

I am very picky about frame-rate. Even on N900 without it over-clocked I consider it unpleasant, even skipping 1 frame bothers me. Probably related to me suffering from vertigo, get dizzy really easily and always have done.
I never bothered with the PS2 for the same reason, not so much dizzy (at least not that I could tell) but it really gets on my nerves.
also, how do i load disks into the 2nd (and subsequent) drives? from the UI, i only have "Select Image Disk (X)" which inserts a disk into the first drive.
Bro would be much better if you could write the solution and not that you just found out never mind. People could save time not running around in the site for solutions.
So can you share how to switch floppys as i can't play any game even if i select 2 drives or just 1 drive and then insert disk 2 image.
The "solution" is to read the FAQ on my site, or do a search on this thread as pretty much everything has been covered many times already. Considering my signature has FOUR links to my site, one of which pointing to the FAQ for help, I am puzzled why you are still stuck.
I do agree though, it would be helpful if people mentioned how they fix problems especially on specific games, so I can add them to the compatibility notes for those games.
Anyway dealing with disk images. When you go into Select Image Disk then pressing Z Inserts the disk into DF0, pressing X inserts the disk into DF1. Eject DF1 seems to eject ALL drives in the latest version. I have not found how to insert DF2 and DF3 yet.
Its hard for people to help you when you:
a) can't be bothered to do a little research or,
b) do the research but do not mention that in your message so we are left thinking you are being lazy, when it fact you might have discovered a genuine bug.
Any news on the "advanced" version for ovi?
I'm quite interested as the gamegripper can now be ordered for the N900, requiring custom key mapping to work.
