Hey guys ive searched for this error but cannot find it, i finally decided to installed this but having no luck

Ive installed everything thats needed i downloaded the image file manually and copied it to MyDocs which is all fine i then try to load the install deb image and its trying to connect to the net to find it... when the image file is there.. What am i doing wrong here ?

Hmmm, that's weird it should detect the img file... Have you tried PMing qole? I am sure he would be happy to help you out...

qole is that the guy that made it, hey just a question ive read the wiki i think i know what im doing when it comes to installing it just this error im getting has me bugged. Am i right in downloading the file to the pc then copied it to the N900 now i click install debain icon, then it just connects to the net and starts downloading again... How do i find this guy mate? Thanks again

Ok success idiot me change the end the of extention for some unknown reason. Anyway all is weel but i have one more question as i dont have wifi working at home can my 3g data connection be used in the lxde enviroment?

yes, 3G works from within easy debian.

just curious - you didn't just remove the extension .lzma, did you? that's a compressed archive, you're supposed to decompress it

no see what happen was i had started downloading it via the terminal then manually done it so i had 2 files there and me not knowing what the actual extentions were i just seen ext2 thinking that was just the name the file manager gave it because i had 2 versions there. you no when u do the same and it normaill has 2 next to it. anyway i realized that was the right extention put it back was it started to extract.

and yes got 3g working now to work out how to print from it also when i loaded snaptic package manager its coming up with a terminal type thing asking me for password... i didnt put a pasword in? sorry bout spelling or mistakes imtypeing fast on my n900 lol

If you are using another path / filesystem / partition than the default, you have to set up ~/.chroot
