OK, found the launcher script. However, there seems to be some issue with it. It seems to just create the /home/user/MyDocs/wagic/Res folder, but no files are copied to it. FAT is mounted by the way. I tried running the script from the terminal. This is what happens:

Current path : "/opt/wagic"
Home directory /home/user not ours.
Home directory /home/user not ours.
Home directory /home/user not ours.
Home directory /home/user not ours.
Home directory /home/user not ours.
Home directory /home/user not ours.
Home directory /home/user not ours.
Home directory /home/user not ours.
Home directory /home/user not ours.
Home directory /home/user not ours.

I am sorry, but I am a total Linux noob. I guess there is an issue with...the user rights?

I confirm the broken sound in at least the last two versions. It's due to a bad resource references. A workaround that might work for some (and that might be already here if you upgraded from some older versions) is to create a symbolic link. So, you would have to do as root:

ln -s /home/user/MyDocs/wagic/Res /opt/wagic/Res

Hello,

I Couldn't find similar problem with maemo-wagic (N900) anywhere so I post it here.

The Story mode works fine and even the demo plays as it should. But every single time I try to start Classic, the game crashes and throws me back to the desktop.

Any ideas? I Just bought my N900 so linux is not my thing...yet.

Thank you btw for remarkable job with Wagic!

After I build a deck it didn't crash. That might be the reason for my problems with wagic earlier today.

Well, it seems to run fine now. Nice game!

The launcher shell script did not copy the files correctly in my case.

But it worked via terminal:

sudo gainroot
cp -rf /home/user/wagic/Res/* /home/user/MyDocs/wagic/Res

(of course you still need disk space available)

Thanks, ste-phan.
I have solved it already by manual copy.

Well, it worked fine untill I accidentally made a new deck without any cards in it. Funny thing was that I didn't even save it but
the game still show it as a new deck. After starting Wagic again that "ghost deck" dissapeared but the game started to crash again
every time I select the classic mode. Demo still runs fine. Another thing I found out was that now I can't get the menu appear with
enter (or with any other key) when I'm in deck editor. I must close the program in order to get out from there. Enter key works like
it should in every other place (shop, options, demogame...) in the game.

Any ideas?

You can try erasing the problematic deck manually. It should be one of the decks files named "deck*.txt" in "/home/user/MyDocs/wagic/Res/player/".

As strange reproducible issue with the controls I experience in v 15.1:

-in beginning of game, scrolling through hand of cards by touch interface makes menu "back to main menu / cancel" pop up 1 time, then no more.

-after the above has occurred, the "interrupt-button" (the zoom in , volume louder button on top if you likes) stops doing what it should do and throws one out of the game, straight to the desktop.

Tried reinstalling and cleaning all Wagic related maps already to no avail.

Edit: it might have something to do with CSSU and I could reproduce the issue on a second N900 after installing CSSU.

Edit: problem solved: update to next C SSU version of end of May has made this issue disappear.
