Hi. Before you yell at me, yes, I tried searching, and couldn't find a magic combination of words that matched anything.

The N800 is sitting here on my desk in keylock. It's at the home screen with no apps running. Periodically, the screen will turn on, then dim, and go off again in accordance with my display settings.

What's making it turn on?

Note that these are NOT full reboots like that other thread that was just posted. It's just "waking from sleep" over and over again for no appearent reason.

Does the LED light flash, or do you even have it on?

Anyway, sounds like it's being pinged maybe...

I've noticed if it ever needs to reconnect to my wifi network, it will bring the screen back on. That is likely what's happening.

I really can't wait for the firmware update, I hope it resolve the reboots and crappy tearing =)

edit: i took out a huge paragraph about some gripes ive had, and i'll repost in a proper thread

Don't have that feature turned on.

Perhaps it's the WiFi re-connection thing.

Could it be due to bug #1011?

There weren't any combo boxes open that I could see.
