Alister, something goes wrong if u can't see your delicious wallpaper.
Please, can you find the way how to repeat this horrible situation so we will able to try to fix it.

I see your drift now. Experimented a little more, and found out.

Never-ever use the blue X in the last version of Telescope, and you will stick with those terrible bars and desktop apps.

Tap it, then start any two or more apps (file manager, calculator, fbreader, emelfm2, you name it). Close them, and voila! Your precious.

I misunderstood you. What I have to do to get this bug?

    Are you serious?

    step 1: install telescope.
step 2: start file manager, x-term and calculator
step 3: close calculator from telescope (blue X)
step 4: close file manager and x-term too in any way
step 5: start again file manager, x-term, calculator
step 6: close them (os2008 way, in the upper right corner)

When you close the last, the tablet calls telescope for some odd reason. You will be presented with the appswitcher ui with no running apps (no thumbnails, wallpaper only, without bars and such).
I know this isn't a terrible bug, but it's a disturbance to me.

I'll throw in one, simple feature request.

Zoom in key for the N800 would execute this command:
    matchbox-remote -next

    Zoom out key:

    matchbox-remote -prev

It's so much cleaner moving through different screens this way.

    Cheers.

Just tired this - did nothing the first time, but worked the second time

Hey, with an awesome wallpaper, this goes from being a 'bug' to being a 'feature'

Hm. Okay. Mitrandir is moving now and he has finish moving to the end of the week. Then he will able to start fixing the "bug".
    Thanks.

Addison, zoom keys switch apps always or just when you are in "Telescope mode"?

    Hey Kroll.

I would have to say zoom in and out keys whenever you're not in Telescope mode.

I can make a super simple script later today so you can see how it would work and what a great feature it would be.

    Edit:
Forgot to mention that this has messed up my Pidgin menus.

Some of the options I need to get to are off the screen now and I can't get to them even after uninstalling Telescope.

It's like Pidgin no longer understands that the screen is still only 480 pixels.

Okay, so here's what I mentioned earlier about quickly changing tasks.

    N800.zip

Inside is a Notes file called Task Switcher. Just Select all, copy, then paste that in Xterm.

    To start it, in xterm:
    xbindkeys

    To stop it, in xterm:
    killall xbindkeys

So yeah, go ahead and give it a try and anyone else for that matter.

It's perfectly safe and I think you'll really appreciate this feature request.

    Cheers.

Are you sure it was a Telescope? Anyway, we will investigate it!
BTW, I can move the dialog windows. I don't know how I turned on this feature, but look at the attachment.

Yep, I will try it today, thanks.
But a lot of apps request this keys to zoom (text, pictures), scroll (fbreader) etc. What about this applications?
