Ok well I know quite a bit about linux and I am wondering what the other users use the terminal for on the NITs. I use it to program and debug my code. what do you guys use it for?

You should debug your spelling :P.

Well I use it mainly to run a script, or check for updates. Or move files that cannot be moved by the file manager.

SSH access to various servers, system (e.g. phone) maintenance, package management (since the App Manager can't queue multiple operations), and odds and ends. I also have occasionally used it for coding at need, although with the key-mapping problem with VIM+screen, that is less efficient than I'd like.
