Maybe I should have explained. By moderated I mean visibly active participation by moderators rather than silent post handling.
As for a "stolen goods for sale" thread, I'm sure if it's brought to the attention of any moderator with jurisdiction in the relevant subforum (or entire forum for super moderators) then it will be dealt with. I don't think I've seen it in the many threads that have activity every day.
As for questions you mention, could you be specific on what you're looking for? Do you want answers from me, from another moderator, from any moderator, ??? FYI if I don't answer a question I may not have an answer and would rather say nothing than make a feeble and possibly wrong attempt.

Guess I'm not clear on the ridiculous part-- electronic devices are highly susceptible to water.
That said, I know of people who accidentally ran their phones through the washing machine and later got them to work. In cases like that prompt action with a warm hair dryer can do wonders. The longer it sits with any moisture, the less likely it will work properly again.
But it's you that also said that you can't get any dates from these numbers. And now you're saying they are release weeks.

what does the week of base build help? anything above build 1 and no one except nokia knows when fw has been compiled. day after base build? week? month?

sorry that i speculate about ugly truth but tell me how you can know leaked fw is 12-9? if there are nothing to compare to, all you have is the filename and that isn't so hard to change, is it?

I am sorry about the merge in teh case as it was intentionally started as HK thread but turned into "but the leaked RC PR1.2" one. I am curious how long it will take till people understand that hijacking doesn't help anyone.
the pr1.2 that i "hacked" onto my n900 is and will be as good as the pr1.2 that we are all still waiting for. everything is running smoothly with all the new features that i anticipated.
