Is it just me or does the pico drive not work with mrs pac man? Anyone have a fix for this?

The arrow keys kinda work when they want to. Some times the pac man goes down when you press down (or up or left or right) and some times it does not. Makes games like pac man unbarable to play. Any ideas at all to fix this is greatly appreciated
