Is there an easy way to delete all of the MaemoMapper info (maps, waypoints, etc.) and start from scratch?

I tried deleting all of my mapps by route/radius (it asks if I want to delete the maps), but when I click OK, nothing happens.

Also, I have tried in vain to copy my Maps directory from the internal memory to a card and it always fails... This could be a card issue, of course, but I haven't had problems copying less data (even if it takes up more memory) It seems to be the amount of files that's causing this.

Anyway, I would like to have MaemoMapper use the card to store maps, but I am having trouble getting it to want to (it seems to want the Map directories already in place before allowing me to choose a location on the card).

Thanks,
Tim

I pointed the config at my memory card.. granted I did create the dir structure first. However that shouldn't be a problem for you. I have also delete my maps by hand many times.. it complains when starting up that it can't find the maps.. but then will just dl them again iirc

The easiest way is probably via the File Manager. Or, if you are xterm-savvy, using "rm" on the command line is probably much faster - the File Manager tends to suck.

I plan to add a feature soon that will allow you to delete a repository and all associated map data.

Deleting maps "Along route" means to delete any maps that are along your currently set up route. If you don't have a route set up, it will do nothing.

Depending on how you have formatted your memory card, each file may require 4k of hard disk space. Make sure you have enough free space on your memory card to contain all your maps.

You can manually enter any directory in the "Map Cache" field. If you enter a directory that doesn't exist, Maemo Mapper will create it for you. Or, you can use the file chooser, which allows you to create new directories.
