My N800 froze in the middle of a video clip. After quitting Media Player it became unresponsive so I powered it off. Now everytime I reboot there is a 3 minutes white screen after the Nokia splash screen, then the desktop would appear. I have tried removing both the internal and external SD cards. The problem persists when both slots are empty.
Do I need to reflash or there is something else I should check first?
I ran a 'dmesg | time' and there is an entry saying:
"hci_cmd_task: hci0 command tx timeout"
Is this relevant? Any advice will be appreciated.

Do you have any videos stored on internal flash? It could be meta-crawler (which is used to index media files for Media Player during the boot cycle) going nuts and consuming 100% CPU when it finds a corrupt video/audio file. Try deleting any video/audio from the internal file system (eg. any files in MyDocs and subdirs).

Failing that, reflash.

Note that the problem with meta-crawler is supposedly fixed in the next firmware.

Hey Milhouse,

Clearing MyDoc did not solve the problem. I had to reflash and now the delay is normal again.
Thank you for the tips!
