they make really good products and we buy the products.

that's like me buying a x6 bmw then thanking bmw for added extras
    that they previously promised.

ill thank nokia when they do something good to the phone that is outside
of their service level agreement. (or any other agreement)

who you should be thanking is the community who will be writing free
apps for this baby, thank the guys who sit behind their monitor testing
and hacking this baby making sure its working ok

i bought my phone from nokia and they didnt say thanks i guess i can understand that since we both got something for something.

I agree entirely that the community needs thanking and I've done that, they are incredible but with this being the first phone I've had on contract absolutely de-branded, no Vodafone Live crap, no **** red theme... That's Nokia. On top of that I've had the phone a couple of months and upgraded the firmware twice, twice more than in the 18 months I had my last phone (due to vodafone firmware issues). Yes, the community tested but Nokia pushed out the updates.

As for following up... MeeGo is carrying on, in 18 months time there will be other phones to upgrade to which'll make this one look silly. Meantime I'm sitting there with a phone runnin an overclocked CPU playing my favorite childhood games on various emulators at full speed over bluetooth using a PS3 controller, and I pay nothing other than my monthly bill because all apps and modifications are completely free?

I couldn't give 2 f*cks if my conversations widget doesn't work, who cares? Look at what does.

I'm gonna go ahead and stick with thank you to both Nokia and everyone involved (^_^)

    Thank you Nokia.

Now is the time that the community (me too) will code great qt apps instead of waiting for pr 1.3

    What you said.

    +1000000000

There is simply nothing else like the N900/Maemo/MeeGo. Nothing! The whiners complaining about stupid stuff like not having individual ringtones or having paranoid delusions of lack support from Nokia, etc. etc. etc...just don't get it. Don't understand what this is really all about. You do.

    Thanks for the positive vibe.

    @ Crashdamage:

Nice one mate, much appreciated and completely worth a mention- Nokia support? For what exactly? On here you can speak first hand with the guys that write the apps! LOL

If anyone needs a hand with any of the mods (I know I've only briefly explained) give me a shout an I'll do my best to help.

Yeah it's small, if you're talking about the big red circle that's the wallpaper, I've just put the clock dead center.
