I was flashed PR1.2 yesterday morning. Unplugged at noon and ran for about 8.5 hours before I got a low battery warning. That's with a half-dozen IM services running. When I got the low battery warning, I was web surfing (wifi) and I kept surfing for over an hour before it finally died on me. I recharged fully, but I have been plugging and unplugging alot today so I can't really compare.

The IM services still suck the battery dry, but I think I got a good 25% or 30% more battery life than under similar conditions before 1.2.

Without IM clients running, I could easily get 24 hours before 1.2...I am interested to see if I get similar battery longevity as reported here without IM clients running.

    Yeah definately,

Well heres what im going to do,

    set alarm,
    Turn n900 off

    Charge overnight via usb,
Battery status check it using terminal
Take battery out and hold power button on the device for 30 seconds (N900 seems to loose power after it fully charges strangely.)
Shake battery for the hell of it,
    Power device back up
Battery status check again with terminal
Plug it in and see how close to 100% i can get,

Watch youtube and perform many tasks for a whole day and pray i make it througgh!!

As for you guys, keep posting here, tell us if you flashed or OTA updated or whatever, and ofc, post your battery life and performance!

I got very nice battery life after PR 1.2. Before it was less than a day, now I'm near three full days(it's dying soon though). Could be because I have less apps installed now(only Load applet is active now, and Syncevolution syncs one time per day). Either way, it's great.

normally i'd be at about 25% battery by now but today it is sitting at 50%. Dunno if its just a fluke or if i may have changed usage a bit but can't think how.

so stopping batterys physical damage is strange? trickle charging and li-ion could be lethal combination at worst, but it will age your battery a lot at best.

I am not sure about the boost, but when I put a newly charged battery in, it said it was at 98%. I don't think I ever saw it that high before, usually it starts at 97%.

Seems like there is. With my regular usage I'm having 25-30% better batterylife. I'm getting the HTC Legend next week so I can even compare to android
