YEs...The Phone has become faster! With so many apps with the last update ...Now they work fast! Touch is smooth and quick!.......Browser Is fast.......

well battery is about 15% more up in All my Online account Via both wifi and 3g!

Sure, conversations does not support vertical writing. However reading and scrolling through the messages is more convenient in the portrait mode. Would you write in portrait mode if you had the option? Probably not...

Hi...I really LOVE to write sms in portrait mode. I sometime find difficult to use the keyboard, expecially in the first row of keys.
I think that one of the best imput method for sms is T9 system. I really love to see implemented in N900, much more than a full vertical on screen keyboard. Why Nokia don't want to add this nice feature avaiable in ALL their other phones ?

I would also really like to have a better phone app in vertical mode, with a soft "green" bottom to redial the last number entered, like in all the phones. To have better sort/group etc functions.

I NEED a decent search function for contacts, email, sms, documents...still not present in N900.

These are just few examples of how it would be nice to have N900 enhanched...let's hope to see them soon on PR 1.3 or Harmattan/Meego.

I'm not calling everybody in the thread n00bs or anything but a lot of the problems have been solved. Most of them are also app related and that isn't the update's fault

There's an app for that - VertSMS. Personally, I have no intention whatsoever of letting that thing near my n900 - nothing against the author, but I think T9 and similar input methods are abominations that need to be put to the torch.
