I bricked my phone doing an update to the new firmware. Before I flash and do the firmware update I wanted to make sure it had a good charge. Currently I get the Nokia logo on off in a loop. Is the battery charging?

It is not really "bricked" then, just a software issue.

But it also probably isn't charging.. the charging function is controlled by software, and if the OS isn't booting it doesn't always seem to charge correctly..

Time to find a 5800, N900, 5230 or X6 handset to charge your battery?!

Thanks for the reply Crogge. So is it charging? should I leave it for an hour before flashing?
Thanks again.

what happens if you turn off.. press and hold U and plug into PC.. do you get the dark screen with the usb icon top right, or does it continue to boot and start looping again?

If you can get it to go into and stay in the flasher mode (with dark screen and usb icon) then I'd flash now.. before it gets any "flatter"

That looks good.. what command line did you use?

flasher-3.5 -F OS.BIN -f

replace OS.BIN with the name of the file you downloaded from tablets-dev.nokia.com
