man.....i've just flashed both firmware and EMMC..still the same..how to check if its my router problem?i'm using linksys cisco router (WIRELESS-N Home Router, Model No:WRT120N)
i've yet to try other access points
edited: it seems that im able to connect..sometimes not able to connect..sometimes,able..
is it a software problem,or hardware?should i go back to nokia and ask for replacement unit?
sorry for bringing up the old thread..i tried looking all over google, but none that can help my situation..even though there are similar situations, there's no workaround..perhaps i should just try my luck here..but,may i know how do i kill the wlan process?
whenever network connection error pops up, CPU hogs around 92%(process=wlan)
this is the second time i flashed both IMAGE and VANILLA..and more than 10 times flashing the image firmware only..but the problem still persists..
sometimes it can't detect wifi connections(no network available),even though there's tonnes of it around..sometimes,it couldn't establish the connection..saying connection error..then it'll uses up nearly 100% cpu..sometimes, the wifi signal blinks forever without connecting, but sometimes,it connects flawlessly..happens with all connections...
i tried entering in xterm command "killall -9 eapd", "killall wlancond"..but there's nothing to kill..but in the htop, the most cpu usage is from usr/sbin/wlancond..any idea how to kill the wlancond process?
when it's happening, entering "root" in xterminal did not do anything..root hangs..can't even be "root"...
how do i verify if its hardware related?though i dont think its hardware related because i managed to connect it sometimes..
This was happening on my girlfriends n900 yesterday.
She charged it to full and took it off charge at about 11am, it started beeping low battery at 4pm.
I had a look at top and eapd was at 92%.
I killed it off and the process table seemed to go back to normal.
I asked her if it was happening alot and she said it had happened every day for the last few days. Her uptime was over 5 days.
What I would like to know is what initalizes this process, and why it brings the phone to it's knees. Is it a memory leak or something she has possibly done? We're off to Amsterdam tomorrow so I need to get this sorted today.
BTW she's on PR1.3, kernel power 46 running at 1000mhz.
Thanks
