I was playing with my brother's HTC Hero with Android 1.6 and it sucks too much
Ok, Android has a great maps app (Android 2, at least), great google integration and some other great apps. Great programming model (I like Java and Android's Java-like programming) BUT what a horrible OS!
I think its a shame for what it says it is (Android, Google and community).
Looking forward to play with Android 2, 1.6 just doesnt do that for me...
While you may or may not be right, you failed to give a reason why 1.6 sucks. The way I see it - if you don't like 1.6, you won't like 2.x all too much either.
For me - like all OS-es, Android has its advantages and downsides. It comes down to personal preference and needs.

Have to say i agree.All OS's have there plus points and negatives including Android and Maemo5.I love M5 but would welcome some of the extras Android could offer.And lets face it if they put them all in a bag and gave it a shake you would come close to the ideal OS.
