Lol bad luck, I didn't expect you to be that lucky given the already known dependance on GL :P That said it can't be that graphically heavy, should you get the wrapper running I can see it doing the job. I've yet to see anyone have success with any GL wrapper yet though (expect for on the Mupen64plus project, but the guy wrote both)
Not sure if you're still interested in this admiral0... but I just ran across the iphone port and it might be a better starting point (all the gl code has been converted to gles compatible code).
