Hello everyone.
I have an Idea for an app for maemo 5. I really know nothing about coding and writing apps, so it would be impossible to do it on my own.

Now what i need:

A)
Someone else who can do this app.

B)
I'm willing to try it on my own (everyone has to start somewhere), if nobody wants to do this.
What I need is:
1. What do i need to do this?
2. How can I do this?

Now about the app:
Its an Flashcard app for learning, especially for creating own sets of Cards. I know there are some other programs for this, but I think mine is cooler. This isn't primary for learning languages.

It should be very simple and easy to handle.

I made some Pictures, how imagine the UI:

Size: 29.4 KB
Name: SimpleFlashcards-UI-back.jpg

Size: 38.1 KB
Name: SimpleFlashcards-UI-Fullscreen.jpg
Views: 770
Size: 24.9 KB
Name: SimpleFlashcards-UI-editor.jpg

Size: 15.9 KB

How it should work:

First you have to create a new set of cards, for a specific theme, you want to learn, for example physics terms. Picture 4 shows the editor, you can add a new card by pressing the green +. Type the question or the term (or whatever) on the front and the answer on the back. You can create a new Set of Cards or you can edit a set, you made before.

To navigate trough your cards you can use the arrows or in fullscreen mode use the Touchscreen (Pull the Card to the left for "Next" and move your finger from the bottom to the Top of the screen to flip the card.

The green, orange and red round buttons are to mark the cards.
-Green: I know the Answer. Don't need to learn it anymore.
-Orange: I partially know the Answer, still need to learn it.
-Red: I don't know the Answer, need to learn it more.
With the colored squares on the left side, you can set, which color Cards are displayed in the set. On the Picture, green and red are on (black frame), orange is off.
New cards, which haven't been market, are always displayed.

With the blue buttons below you can sort them by
-Numbers (1-129) (Dark blue while activated)
-In a random order
-The red marked cards come first

The white box below, where I wrote "Mass per unit volume" is to write down the Answer. It's not for generating the answer on the back, and it doesn't check if the answer is right. It is just a field for notes, so you can check your answer, after you flipped the card. You don't have to write something in, if you don't want to, I just thought this would be nice for numbers or other crazy stuff, you can't keep in mind. After switching to the next card, the box is cleared.

Tapping on the blue tip in the Title opens the dialogue with:
- Open Set - Create new set
- Edit Set - Something like "share" woulb be nice too

Now this is how it Should work.

It would be great if someone would make this app, or if someone helps me with this.

Now thanks for the attention.

Your requirements seem pretty close to what my QTeachMe (should be in extras-devel) does. Find more info in this thread. The one thing I'm missing is the ability to add cards in the app itself. Instead you'll have to create a text file with delimiters between question and answer. It should be possible to create that text file on the device itself. I could probably add the ability to edit cards in the app as well in a future version...

Please note that the version in Extras-Devel suffers from the 'random autokill' bug whereby the app dies within a few minutes. I know how to fix it, but just haven't uploaded a newer version in a while.
