Joy!

Thank you so much for letting me systematically abuse you like I have.

I guess that there is some app called mp3gain.

I'm going to go look for that now..

Could this be a possible work around to max out the volume?

mp3gain isn't going to help you because you need to feed it an mp3 file and it changes the volume based on the file.

In this case, we are feeding a stream from a URL from Pandora.

Ah poopers.

Well, I thought that I read somewhere of people using Mplayer and not Media Player for their music.

Since Mplayer's maximum volume can be hacked, is it possible to send the audio output to that instead?

Anyway, that's about the only idea I have left.

It's possible yes, but just like I had when using gstreamer we lose some of the 'native' feel of the application from using the built-in media players.

The idea I'm toying with is having a menu option that only shows for Diablo users that says 'Set Max Volume' or similar. It would pump you up to 100 for the duration of that app instance.

If you close and re-open it you'd need to click it again. I thought about adding a button on the UI for it but it would be useless for N900 users.

Please keep an eye out for pyRadio 3.8 in Extras Devel. Once you have it loaded and tested it for me let me know and I will promote it to Diablo Extras.

Right now pyRadio has an Enable FM menu button that is utterly pointless in the N8x0 I believe. The N800 has an FM Receiver but I don't think a transmitter.. if I'm wrong and you use it let me know and I'll move it.

I have simply changed that menu item to now act as an audio boost for devices without an FM transmitter.

I'll keep my eye out for it tonight and will post back as soon as it shows.

Right now the update for this still stands at 3.7.

Thank you Saint!

It's still building in the system. It takes about 20 minutes or so.

I'm not going to bother promoting this to Fremantle users. It fixes nothing for them and would just reset my 2 votes and 10 day quarantine I have for 3.7 to fix the broken 3.6 package.

You can keep an eye on it here:
