hi
i installed the image file of 288.2mb

after installation i tried to start open office but it failed to open it saying
mount error

please help

you probably put the image file on the wrong place or inside a folder.. put it on home/user/MyDocs

it asked me to save on sd card or mydocs and i choose to save it on the mydocs

anyway how do i check home/user/MyDocs folder

I guess the extraction of your image was not completed - it takes quite some time and it should not be interrupted.

I recommend you go to this thread: http://talk.maemo.org/showthread.php?t=34550 and search for "mount error", then you'll find the advice that people have received with similar issues.

I went to the link you provided rebhana and got my answers,
i had just downloaded the image but not xtracted it lol.

But after i did it everything is excellent, I like my phone even more now with office editing on my hands what else i can ask for, i thing my phone is almost complete now.

Thanks Qole for Easy Debian, its the best thing to happen to n900, with multitasking and the webbrowser the other good things.
