Wondering if anyone has had success connecting the N800 via BT to a Moto Q for Dial-up Networking on Sprint service. The devices seem to have paired OK, and I used the default Sprint connection on the N800. I activate Modem Link on the Moto Q and attempt the connection from Connection Manager on the N800, but it does not find the connection. Are there additional settings on the Q or N800 to access the Sprint network? I have a data plan with Sprint.

Okay I tried the JuneFabrics PDANet and several variations of, with and without username and password, and packetData vs DataCall.
Also I tried the PPP Options changes as recommended in the Knowen Good Phones lists. Still no ability to connect via Bluetooth.
I know this is enabled as we have this feature enabled for VPN access to work, and I can successfully connect via USB cable, before and after installing Verizons connection manager software.
Also I am seeing that when BlueTooth is enabled on the N800 it seems to be a big drain on the battery.
Also it is extremely frustration to sometimes and sometimes not get the Phone Connection in the selection list for connections.

Any more ideas?

Amazingly, I installed PDAnet and got it to work. PDAnet was a little flaky because I was evaluating without purchasing, and it kept requiring me to connect my USB back to the PC. I enabled Bluetooth DUN on the Q in PDAnet. Sprint service connected with #777 and blank user and password.

Sorry, Mine is Verizon. PDANet works wonderfully on the Q for me now after wiping out all the phone and BT pairing. re-pairing, and then manually setting up a Verizon connection with #777 and username and password with a Data Call type config. (Non Packet Call)
The plan is unlimited Data which I believe is $15 more a month.

I'm told we are paying $15 extra a month per phone for Data connectivity (I never see the bill) and it is unlimited. It has yet to be cut off.

is there a non PDANet approach?

Sprint unlimeted data plan is 15 bucks for your cell phone (at dial up speeds)

a friend of mine has no trouble connecting a phone via USB to the laptop, use DUN on the laptop and dial #777 without a username/password to get internet access. he worked that for a few years now and it still works today.

i got the same plan and tried to pair my Samsung A640 (it's a cheap non smart phone) with N800 via BT, everything works fine, phone says: "connected as data modem" "then says dialing #777" i see Rx and Tx icon business, and then i get an Error #67, Registration Failure.

i called Customer Service, they say i need to switch my plan to a 40 bucks/mo which will allow me to use the phone as a modem.

anyone out there using Sprint DUN at $15/mo without smartphones?

thanks a lot in advance
