Ok, for the geotagging, replacing "flight" with "flighx" in /usr/bin/camera-ui.launch solves that problem. No guarantees about any side-effects, this may have. *BE CAREFUL*
Make a backup copy of the file first. Use an editor that only changes this single byte and nothing else (vi can do it).
This change will make the camera-ui ignore any changes to the offline state. I am not sure what the application usually does apart from turning off geotagging.
