btw, the static happens if i play in vlc/quicktime/or on the 770 itself, and it isn't just a little static... the audio is pure static, no usable sound at all
java *shouldn't* care what processor it is running on, did mencoder change at any point?
the program has actually never worked for me but I've only had the 770 for about a month, did you happen to change the mencoder version around that point?
