N900 can run Google Maps (not earth) via Garnet Palm emulator - its stable but the only problem is the GPS doesnt work so GOog maps loses alot of utility.

Click on Microsoft Virtual Earth and use Zoom on the upper right of screen. Also, if Maemo Mapper is available for N900 it displays Virtual Earth (VE) maps.

NITdroid is able to run the native Google Maps application. Although Navigation doesn't work as of yet since the GPS module isn't working.

Ehm, web browser has Google maps, and it works just like GE would (but less nimble). And it has zoom via double-click?

I can't get maps.google.com working properly on microB. It never loads any maps or search places.

Works very well for me on an OCed N900. Zoom functions fine.

As for google maps try the following addy.

http://www.google.com/maps/m

If you grab down the microb plugin for geolocation from extras it will even pick up your gps locale etc. Use mouse mode to drag around the map.
