yes it is a gr8 idea.....infact i think thats a basic function in music players....

now its really a pain to add songs one by one by going to different folders for induvidual songs..........

it blows out the very use of playlist (atleast 4 me)

its faster dat u search the song u want rather than spending so much time to create a playlist

    no disrespect man...its a gr8 player/App infact and i love it....

pls try to implement it in the next update

    I'll do.
But depending on how often I release updates, it may not be in the next update yet.

Are you on N900 or N8x0? Did you download the deb file or did you try to install using the application manager.

The package python-gtk2 ought to be available through the extras repository and gets installed automatically if you're installing using the application manager. Sometimes maemo.org may have some server problems. In that case just try again a few hours later.

    I'm on n810,
i went through the packages and tried to download it from there.

If i go through straight from application manager, it only shows me the old version. 7-17

this is where i went to download it. I don't know if this is the right package or not.

It's OK to not use the application manager, but in that case you already need to have all dependencies installed.

The easiest would be to install MediaBox (yes, the older version that is available in the repository) using the application manager to get all dependencies installed, and then upgrade using the new package which is not in the repository yet. But I'm going to promote the new version to the extras repository, soon, so you may just wait a few hours and install it using the application manager.

    That would be

because you need the armel package version on the tablet. Even though it wouldn't really matter much in case of MediaBox but the application manager will refuse to install the i386 version.

I have still problems with the media index. I made sure, that there are
no extra fields in the tags, and I removed all id3v1. Now I only have
id3v2.3. But some albums, artists, genres etc. appear twice. One in the
right place, and one with "unspecified". mafw lists all ok.
Rebuilding the index (mediabox and tracker) did not help.

How can I start mafw in the background? Maybe AVRCP would be possible then.
