I love this app but i can't use it as my main music player because it doesn't recognise all my albums, i tihnk it's an MP4 problem?
Is there any chance of that being fixed? The default player and Instinctiv find them, but i'd rather use MediaBox as my all in one media centre

What does the problem exactly look like?
Have you checked that this is MediaBox problem and not a tracker problem? (probably yes, because the default player using tracker finds them)
It seems to be YouTube's behavior that it doesn't serve data as long as it thinks you already got enough for watching the video. They try to limit the download rate and maybe pause transmission occasionally.
There shouldn't be a timeout while waiting for data in MediaBox (only a connection timeout). That's the bug, and it will be fixed in the next version.
is this fixed? i am having the same problem some more i cannot forward any video if watching online if i do the video starts from the beginning in mediabox. i hope something is done soon as this is the the only application that plays youtube videos since mytube and zoutube are not working.

This new versio is so full of bug.. If i choose next track then it's loading... loading.... loading... song is playing while it's loading..... loading.. crash.. mediabox is forced to shot down it goes down but music still playing . Must uninstall and download that older version.. it is so much faster and stable. I use n900.
i had been just keeping MediaBox inside a folder in the menu, not using it because of speed, UI issues. BUT, after few times of updates after like 2 months, i thought of trying to see what have changed and ya, i was surprised by the great improvement of the current version!!!
Of course a lot of improvement are still needed and below is my personal suggestions and report of bugs:
1) Automatic Orientation: it switches from Portrait to Landscape when it moves from certain page to another page.
2) I suggest that the volume slider to be made horizontal like the track slider, but located in the bottom and separated from the track bar by the "previous, play, next" bar.
3) Lyric features: have not got proper display of Japanese characters yet so far and some problem withi Chinese display.
4) Lyric features: i like the much bigger album art now and the lyric feature may try to include previous-and-next line of lyric, OR to show the whole lyric in Karaoke style.
5) Great if can save streamed youtube videos.
6) Seriously thinking if making MediaBox a sole Music Player (excluding video, album, etc) is able to improve much of the performance? I dont mind to have other apps for video and album as long as i can have a better music performance.
7) Equalizer?

This ZIP does not help. If you uninstall v 2010.10.17, then that whole directory disappears. If you re-install, then the portrait config is still set and problem still exists. So it means that setting is stored somewhere else. So till Martin fixes it you should use v 2010.09.11
