I've followed your instructions to make other themes behave like BlackPlastic setup. That has worked well, except I can't get the newly 'added' theme to change font.
When selecting font change in BlackPlastic setup, the drop down menu allows me to select any font option, but when I reboot I'm stuck at Nokia Sans.
*edit* to be precise. I added Hooterall font as per the instructions below :

Hooterall can be applied as a font for any blackplastic theme, except my newly added (to black plastic setup) theme (istylelightphonegreen).
Is there a problem with the way my fonts folder was created ?
i have a similar problem. i tried to set up R-style gray theme, but the font selection is stuck to swissa font. the setup lets me select other fonts , but wont change them.

Can you guys copy & paste the contents of gtkrc -file of that "new" scheme. File is located at:
/opt/plastic-schemes/YOURNEWSCHEME/gtk2.0/gtkrc

I have no idea about portait lockscreen and also haven't seen the bug you guys are talking about.

how to reproduce:
1.first choose pleego
2.then open the browser and activate enable rotation if not already active
3.open any page in browser and rotate the device
4.with the browser in portret mode lock the device using the lock slide button
5.keep the phone in the portret mode and press power button
6.now the unlock window will appear and the unlock button is the default one not that used in pleego scheme
