Hello,

I use MSN pecan and Pidgin Internet to sign in to MSN from my N900 and have a few questions. Does Pidgin consume more battery? What is the most battery and data consumption friendly way to use MSN from N900?

Also, when I log in using pecan, everytime I sign in, it shows me 40 erroneous "authorization requests". Is anyone else facing this annoying problem?

I also have this issue with Pecan.

Use the MSN Butterfly plugin, that does work for me quite well since PR 1.2.
(That is the one whose name is simply "MSN protocol plugin for conversations and contacts".)

BUT I read somewhere on this forum that Pecan is the best because it was developed specifically for Maemo, something to that effect. Is butterfly better?

Still, Pecan is buggy and Butterfly is not.
After the authorization request bug, I don't care whether it was developed for Maemo or not - I just don't want to click through more than 100 authorisation requests every time I log in.

I also reported the issue in Pecan's bug tracker about a month ago, but it seems that is hasn't been fixed yet.
