    Hey !
I bought my n900 a few months ago and now i got a HUGE problem !

The screen does not start. it's just black.. even when i can see that i am turning the phone on, because the keyboard lights up...
another problem giving me even more limited ways to fix it is that it doesnt seem to connect to the pc without me pressing the right button on the screen ..(storage or suit)

i need help .. or should i just take it to service,, i have warranty

When i got mine in Dec09, I took it out the box and the screen was broken... sounds the same as what happened to mine, phone is running, its just as if the "monitor" is not connected.

I sent mine back to the place i bought it and they replaced it for nothing.

It should be covered under warranty, from either the place you bought it, or nokia itself

I have screen issues, but its with the phone switching on-itll vibrate after pressing the on button, but the phones screen will remain black. even if it does show the logo, it would seem its a problem with the phone thinking its lacking in power, despite being fully charged. it usually comes on properly after the third attempt, but it is odd.

im not sure if anyone elses issue is that similar, and im not sure if my nokia always switched on perfectly before the latest update, but thats what I get.

Between turning the phone off and restarting there is a 15 second delay period, i.e. if you turn the phone off, you cant turn it back on for 15 seconds (probably the time it takes for you to attempt to turn it on twice)

the way i got my phone working again is that i just put it on my desk... tried to turn it on a few times a week and just when i had lost all hope, and was just for the heck of it trying to turn it on again, then it worked fine.. but it took around 14-21 days .. dont know exact...

I have that problem now, except my wouldn't vibrate either. I just reflashed mine, the funny bit is, it reflashed immediately, but there were no nokia logo on the screen or the USB sign. and the keyboard lights up. I have vibrate on touch disabled from the settings, but it normally does vibrate on startup. No such vibration, the keyboard just lights up.
