hmmm, I did have trouble with the bit too, but got a different error. I needed to install bzip2 ("apt-get install bzip2" as root) then it was fine. If that doesn't solve it I'm not sure what it could be...did you try running that command as root?

Do you have to chmod the file first? I'm no linux guru but could be an idea...

I've been playing with the .cfg to see what it's like using the full screen and it looks amazing! I've set the resolution to 800x480 and turned off scanlines (set transparency to 100)...and its very clear! With scanlines it looked bloody aweful.

    quick screen grab:

How did you alter the screen cfg?

edit home/user/.mednafen/mednafen.cfg and change lynx.xres to 800 and lynx.yres to 480. Make sure you also set lynx.scanlines to 100.

I used LeafPad to edit it. Grab it from the app manager and type "leafpad /home/user/.mednafen/mednafen.cfg" Make the changes and save...you can keep leafpad open while you test the new settings. Making a backup of the cfg file is probably recommended too. Oh and ctrl-f in leafpad to search for the specific line you need.
