As a surprise birthday gift, my wife ordered me an N900. To be honest, I haven't paid much attention to maemo 5, since I was more focused on stuff for my N810. Well, now that has changed and I was wondering what the best threads were for making the transition. I'm already consulting the "whats hot" and "whats fresh" lists, as well as my N810 for software to install. Anyone got pointers? Recommended apps?

There is an epic thread about MODs and there is also one to show Screenshots (for themes, widgets, wallpics and mods)! Another one shows photos taken with the N900 camera, which has a good image quality resulting in very nice pictures (there are also a few mods to improve the quality). Easy Debian/Chroot is the most geeky app, because it allows you to run an LXDE/XFCE4 Desktop or any Debian / Ubuntu app...
