I'm looking for a tool or application that will work as a stability/cpu-error test.
I've been doing OCing, and while I have my full-speed frequency fully stable, I have one frequency somewhere in my set of them that isn't quite right - and randomly crashes when I'm -not- using it.

As such, the thing to do is test each frequency/volt combination under load. But, how should I do this?
I can use Mplayer to load down the CPU with video stuff, but I'm not sure if that tests the full range of instructions, or if I would even notice a minor glitch once in a while(I know it -somewhat- works for this though).
Nbench is another option, but it only tests/benchmarks for a little while, and I'd have to loop it etc. to make it work right - also, again, I'm not sure if it tests everything.

Is there some application that will work better than both of these?

Wouldn't it be the opposite.. If you leave your phone and not using it then it should be in idle when crashing. Maybe if you installed sysklogd you could get some better answers? You might wanna test to raise 250mhz a notch.

Thing is, I'm pretty sure its -not- the 250mhz, mainly because I have run it quite a bit locked at 250 and no issues.
Also, just leaving it idling isn't enough to cause problems: I let it run all day in between use, no issues. I plug it in to charge this evening, get the charging message, hit the hold switch to flip off the screen and leave.
I come back a half-hour later to it back on the home screen, no apps running, and the "your kernel settings have not been restored due to an unexpected crash" message.
I wouldn't be surprised if its a frequency like, say, 400mhz that is only rarely used, and even more rarely has a glitch needed to crash it.

That all being as it is, I really find out exactly whats wrong unless I have some way to accurately test for problems.
