Another thing to take into account is the other routers in the neighborhood. My router has one max speed and another slower setting that is "neighbor-friendly". If I don't select neighbor friendly, that might affect others, I am unsure how, exactly.

My N900 has a problem connecting to the internet as well. Every time I try to connect to either wifi or cellular connection, the system returns a message: network connection error. try again? Trying again does not solve the problem.

Last night I charged the phone and was able to connect to wifi, but not the cellular connection. However, after draining the battery to about half, the wifi disconnected automatically and neither connection works now.

Could anyone help? Thanks.
