Absolutely not, after this shoddy treatment I cannot go and buy another Nokia device ever again, whether it fits my needs or not. That would be like a beaten housewife who keeps coming back for more.

Because they have a tendency to anally violate their customers.

I will most likely never buy anything branded Nokia again unless the software inside is made by someone else.

I will buy another Nokia when they have a CEO who designs cool stuffs in her / his free time, not play golf.

Probably not, they are so far behind on every count, I see no hope of redemption. They came close to killing the competition with Maemo5 but abandoned it in a half baked state for Meego in the hope perhaps, that Intel will boost them; they seem to have no confidence in themselves so why should I have confidence in them.

I will go Android with Moto (Droid2 maybe), at least they are making an effort . I still like Nokia, but they dont seem to care about users like me so why should I care about them any more ?.

Also, those other companies you praise are also just as keen on leaving you in the dirt (see HTC Hero) or force-feeding you upgrades that you might not want (iOS 4 on the iPhone 3G). So sure, you can switch away from Nokia, but it's really a hit-and-miss of what you'll get, depending on where in the business/technological cycle you buy in to a particular platform/vendor.
FYI, HTC Hero (released in summer of 09) has been upgraded to 2.1, hardly leaving their users on the dirt. As for N900, where is the OVI Maps update ? All Nokia has got left now are its fanboys and the unwashed, who else will buy another Nokia after the N900 debacle? A Fanboy!

Absolutely. When my E90 finally dies, which had replaced my N900, which had replaced my E90 in the first place, I'll look on ebay for another E90.

Of course, I will need to save up money since the E90's are still going for more than the N900's despite it being a 3 year old phone.

That's something to be said. I had to return headphones to motorola under warranty which took a month to actually get a claim in and I was just short of having the warranty end (and they said they would not accept it if it ended WHILE I was getting the warranty claim!).
Then they sent me back a wrong pair. And wanted me to pay shipping there and back. I had this nice set of HT820's and they gave me the MOTOROKR... HD things. Great sound but the worst EVER bluetooth chip in it.
I hate how Maemo is advertised as open source when all it really is the kernel and a few other things that are open. I don't have an N900 but N8x0's life died quickly when Nokia dropped it.

No decent map programs since Wayfinder died
No Open GPSD so MiniGPSD kind of sucks (doesn't even work with Navit)
Camera is 100% useless and crashes the device 98% of the time (could they at least have sourced that?)
Skype... sucks. It stutters so bad that anyone I call doesn't understand a word I say.
Having to install rtcomm beta to get any decent IM options... sucks.
that's just to name a few. I'm pretty disappointed, I really loved Nokia but now I actually am thinking of the Droid X... so much better.

The community for this is superb, however. Opera Mobile, Diablo5 and telescope are awesome.

If they sourced the stuff the community would have just improved it.
I won't be buying Nokia again. Their phones are in a market in which nobody wants to be anymore so support is going to go down the drain.
