Hello

I have a Java application and i have to port it to Maemo

Which is the best approach to do it ???

I have to develop the appliation to c++ or python or there is a way
to work in java making some changes to support Maemo?

If it is pure java you can just run your application if you install the Java Runtime Environment from Sun for embedded use.

If it uses some native libs through jni then you should recompile those for ARM

when come java support for maemo? better rewrite in QT this way it will work on future symbian/meego phones too.

I am a little new in software development.
My goal is the application works in a device like n900.
Have you an idea where to find informations to getting started?

You can run java on the N900(posted somwhere...) but it's a real pain,
or you can use easy debian

The conclusion is to rewrite the application from scratch???
