    I'm running a RealVNC server, and am using ssh tunneling to allow connection to the server only as a local host (127.0.0.1) and no matter what I use, it will not connect. (Ie.: 127.0.0.1, localhost, 127.0.0.1:0 or 1)

    Which port do you forward where? Forwarding 5900 on the host to 5900 on the phone works for me (x11vnc, display :0)

    5900 is what I use as since the connection is encrypted it doesn't really matter what port I use. It might be 5901 though.

    When I get home I'll give it a go, I'm tired of working over EDGE.

    No dice. Even tried connecting with SSH disabled on same LAN, and it would never connect. You think it might be an encryption incompatibility with RealVNC? VNCViewer has no problems in this regard.

    Hope I can figure it out, as I like the features yours brings to the table. (Although I'm content with VNCViewer)

    I can't connect to RealVNC either. When I start the connection from an xterm I get:
    Code:
    presencevnc vnc://<password>@<ipaddress>:0
    ----- trying init ----
    scaleResize(): 636 476
    scaleResize(): 0 0
    "VNC server supports protocol version 4.1 (viewer 3.8)"
    "Selected Security Scheme 50725381"
    "Unknown authentication scheme from VNC server: 50725381"
    I have encryption turned off on my server, and I am using VNC password.

    Maemo VNC Viewer works fine.

    Cheers,
    Mark.

    Then I guess it's not a encryption issue, but more a protocol one. Hope it can be fixed, I would really like to be able to use this. Even the icon looks better than the other vnc app.

    OK, I've done some additional testing (on Windows XP):
    - TightVNC 2.0.2 works
    - RealVNC Free Edition 4.1.3 works
    - RealVNC Personal (and probably Enterprise) 4.5.4 doesn't (even with authentication/encryption turned off)

    Will have to see if I can work around that.

    @CrckMc: Could you paste the log? (minus the segmentation fault)
