So quick question for the US users, can you have the N900, have a no data plan AT&T service, and use the N900 only as a phone, doing all the web/IM etc on wifi?

Yes, I know this is probably answered in here, but I seriously have not been able to find if it was answered, but i may just be to tired on searching...

Theres nothing on the phone that would prevent you from doing this so I dont see why you couldnt.

I think you can use it just as a phone. AT&T might know.

AT&T without data - only voice: Yes you can.

Make sure that your internet settings are set to connect automatically to "Wi-Fi only".
That way all IM and all internet activity happens only over Wifi and you don't get hit by any data charges.
