It happened to me also.
Well, quickest solution is to delete .smw.options.bin
Steps:
1. Open X Terminal
2. Type "ls -a" (Without quotation and check if .smw.options.bin exist)
3. Type "rm .smw.options.bin" (without quotation)
3. Run Super Mario War and check if it fix the issue.

So please help me in getting back the screen resolution of my game....
The screen resolution got changed when i went to settings and i tried changing the resolution...
