In some sites like http://pastebin.com and even talk.maemo.org itself, the browser keeps refreshing the page over and over again, pretty much unusable, what did i mess up?
edit:in talk.maemo not all pages keep refreshing, seems it doesn't happen int he main page, but it does when browsing threads Last edited by TiagoTiago; 2010-08-13 at 06:02. |

From what i read somwhere else, it might be related to the user agent string, but deleting prefs.js or removing the specific line about the user agent string doesn't help, next time i load microB it reverts prefs.js including the user agent string setting that is marked as customized in about:config (is there a way to revert a setting to the default value in about:config in microB?) Also i tried changing the UAS to match for example Iceweasel's and it didn't help with the refreshing.
btw, now some pages are producing the following error Quote:

i'd try deleting all cookies and then mess with some settings, imm sure there used to be a "ignore auto refresh" setting but i cant find it now... maybe i imagined it...

I there a way to reset the settings to default in about:config itself like how i can with the right click menu on Firefox's about:config?

i tried running
Code:
apt-get install $(apt-cache search microb|grep " - "|cut -f 1 -d " ") --purge --reinstall -s Code:
Reading package lists... Done
Building dependency tree
Reading state information... Done
You might want to run `apt-get -f install' to correct these:
The following packages have unmet dependencies:
maemo-geolocation-dbg: Depends: maemo-geolocation (= 1.1.2-1) but 1.1.3-1 is to be installed
microb-engine-dev: Depends: libnspr4-dev (>= 20091230-1.9.2-6.16+0m5) but it is not going to be installed
Depends: libnss3-dev (>= 20091230-1.9.2-6.16+0m5) but it is not going to be installed
Depends: libidl0 but it is not going to be installed
ussd-widget: Depends: ussd4all (>= 0.0.0) but it is not going to be installed
webkit-eal: Depends: libwebkit-1.0-1 (>= 1.0) but it is not going to be installed
E: Unmet dependencies. Try 'apt-get -f install' with no packages (or specify a solution).

Seems i might have found the solution, make the mozilla profile folder not be hidden (remove the dot in the beginning of the name), this seems to have fixed the infinite refreshing!!
![]() edit:I'm not sure, but i have the impression the browser even got more responsive after this change Last edited by TiagoTiago; 2010-08-12 at 03:56. |

MicroB needs a .mozilla folder, so it will always create it if the folder doesn't exist, just like firefox and other mozilla (based) browsers will. I'd recommend checking your microB options to make sure Accept cookies is set to Always. Also install Hide User Agent if you don't have it already and use it to remove the custom user agent string (it resets it to default). You can find the app under Settings after installation. Hope that helps.

What if there is already a folder called "moziila" , the same name just not hidden?
I already have cookies set to Always, and HIde User Agent already removed the customized string, neither one helped ![]() edit:i've jsut tried symlinking .mozilla to mozilla and nothing seems to have changed either :/ Last edited by TiagoTiago; 2010-08-13 at 03:53. |
