After zooming out a bit in top i see a bunch of those lines, are they each another instance or the repetition is an artifact? Are they really related to Skype as i suspect? Is that normal?

I would suggest to use power search -> write: skyhost -> click talk to filter search to include only this area.
Yes it´s related to skype. And about many instances of processes. I do not know. I also would like to understand what it really means.
