Nokia works intensively on MeeGo for N900 and they create periodically snapshot images with proprietary Nokia components. You even may try. Why is this pessimism?
I quote myself. I did that conclusion looking into reference which I provide in previous post. You can follow that reference, enter your IMEI and download Nokia tuned MeeGo binaries - 2GB uSD and kernel. And try.
I don't see any sense in developement MeeGo for N900 if Nokia doesn't want it. Of course, in some future Nokia will stop supporting N900 but not now. And basing on my knowledge of development cycles I am sure that Nokia even -
a) has no new MeeGO device in near future, or
b) will provide MeeGo variant for N900 for some time in parallel with new device (N9 ?)
If they have a hypothetical N9 ready to launch in Oct-Dec then they should work intensively with MeeGo in it. In other case they can't finish N9 system to Oct-Dec, usually it takes at least 6 month.

I think he was saying that the N900 isn't locked-down. He was answering my criticism with another valid counterpoint. Settle down, Tex.
i dont know about everyone else, but im thinkin about pickin another one up on ebay once they get real cheap. the n900 is a great device for me and not so much for everyone else. am i alone here?
