I am looking for the 'Wireless-Tools' package (and the iwconfig command-line utility in particular).

I found this package described in a few posts back in February and March.
But it no longer appears in the repositories.

I assume that means that it is not compatible with PR1.2, and there for removed.

Does anyone know for sure what it state is???

memo: I wanted to use it to programmably disable | enable WiFi Power Saving for use with OpenSSH.

A post from rewt mentioned it in 02-23-2010:
As root:
Code:
iwconfig wlan0 power off
will disable power management temporarily. You will need the wireless-tools package (from Nokia Apps repo) installed to get this command.

These tools are not in the user/* category and thus not displayed by the HAM (Hildon Application Manager), you need to install them via the terminal (as root: "apt-get install wireless-tools") or install something else that depends on them (like the Mobile HotSpot)
