I like the task switcher, but it can be quite confusing when trying to navigate between a few, much needed, open apps and their related buddy apps.

I often have many terminals open, connected to my media/file server which each have a process running (alsamixer, ncmpcpp, ssh and others), and a few more for local host sessions, which I'm typing code into following off many web pages, it makes my brain cry a little.

So to ask my question,
would it be possible to modify the current task switcher to allow the app. icons to be moved around the screen, sorting them into different corners would allow for better organisation, and give my OCD a fix.

My programming knowledge doesn't go this far, but I've been poking around the hildon-desktop source code of which I haven't been able to come across anything I find useful.

I came across this a few years ago, and I have to say an interface like this for the task switcher (not the desktop) would be amazing! Even just a very basic implementation would be great.
