Can anyone with good experience and knowledge in writting Maemo application give me some direction?
I really need some help in writting a small application for the status Bar applet.

Please give me some advise and direction, I'll be deeply appreciated and will giving it back to the community at the end of my completion.

Nokia Qt SDK + Qt Creator is a very easy-to-use environment.
I dunno about status bar applets, but the Wiki may be a good place to start.

I just want to create a simple app that's all. No fancy button or drop box or whatever. Just to display something in the status area next to the battery icon. A small icon to defind something is working and reloaded itself every reboot just like the CPUMem applet.

Mind to link me to the right place

Why don't you download cpumem applet and see the source?
I think this is the best way to understand how it works
