I really can't bypass the update. not even the dangerous method of connecting to the given dns server works for me, it doesn't work for the uk updatelist.txt perhaps.

Do you need to jailbreak before the bypass works? I'm not interested in the backup manager so I have no intention of jailbreaking yet but I'd like to keep the current firmware just in case the homebrew community really takes off. So is the firmware bypass jailbreak dependent somehow?

hi there, i install evertyhing like on tutorial, after that when i start manager (i have to put code 0000 - parental control restricted content) like on screen

and select copied game on backup manager i see "virtual" disk and everything works like it should. But when i try start this game, on screen all icons disappear and i see only wallpaper. System is freezed i have to take power lead off. My ps3 is slim 250gb and software is 3.41.

I don't know what to do maybe someone will help?

Nop just DNS and it should work.
