Average user would be connecting and disconnecting from wifi far more than playing with bluetooth. Some users never use Bluetooth at all. Doesn't make sense to keep it up permanently. I suppose it shows their phone roots in a way. Usually no way to quickly turn on/off on those either.
The "do it yourself" wasn't meant as a dig. Is there a technical reason why the 770 community solution wouldn't also work on the N800?
